Our Modern and Retro cruiser bikes are a great way to explore our city. From the historic village of Upokongaro to the coast, Whanganui has plenty on offer.
We are conveniently located on the edge of the river in the heart of Whanganui offering Whanganui's only retro cruiser bike hire so you can experience Whanganui at your own pace your way.

We pride ourselves on sharing part of Whanganui's rich Heritage, “where the past meets the present” isn't just a catchphrase, it's a lived experience.

We have 2 different models of cruiser bikes to choose from equipped with 7-speed Shimano gears and a comfortable padded seat ensuring a safe and comfortable ride.

Choose between a step through or high bar bike complete with a front basket to help you carry your things.

Pick up your bike from the Riverboat Centre or I-Site (Winter months) and head off to explore Whanganui at your own pace. 

Available between 8 am and 4pm Wednesday - Monday or by arrangement.

Cycling from Upokongaro to Whanganui offers a scenic and enjoyable ride along the Mountains to Sea Trail. The route takes you through picturesque rural landscapes alongside the Whanganui River, offering beautiful views as you pass through quiet neighborhoods and historical areas.

Our Guarantee

We might be a little biased here, Whanganui is a pretty cool place to explore, and we want you to be as comfortable exploring Whanganui by as you can, While we can't guarantee there won't be hill’s or that the weather will be perfect we can guarantee our bikes won't leave you constantly readjusting you pants from places they shouldn't be.

Bookings are essential but, just give us a call and we will see what we can do to accommodate.

Paddle and pedal package 

We offer full refunds or flexible booking adjustments were possible in the event Mother Nature isn't playing ball, although it doesn't happen often. We do offer complimentary rain ponchos so you can take in Whanganui from a wet weather perspective.

What you should know

We highly recommend you come prepared with comfortable clothes and shoes, a water bottle and sunblock, you just never know where your adventure will take you.

Our bikes come with a front basket or front pack for your convenience.
