Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unseen circumstances. Customers will receive a full refund within 48 hours notice of cancellation. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.

Social Distancing

Please maintain a minimum of 1 metre from other guests and our operational team.

Sanitising

We request that you make use of the hand sanitiser made available the Riverboat Centre and on the vessel.

Frequent Cleaning

We regularly clean all high frequency touch points across the Riverboat Centre and on the vessel.

The only coal fired paddle steamer in New Zealand. Journey an hour up the Whanganui river as far as the Upongongaro church. A ride that was once a mainstay of 19th century travel. A great experience. Highly recommended.
