Community Partners

We have many partnerships with local businesses and organisations that help us to maintain and preserve our heritage and deliver a great experience for our community and visitors to Whanganui without whose support we simply cannot operate the way we do.

Whanganui District Council provide us with financial support that allows us to offer a local discount for some of our scheduled cruises and helps enable us to contribute to experiential educational cruises for our young people at school within the Whanganui District.

We are extremely lucky to receive continued support from Four Regions' trust with financial support, this goes towards maintaining our old girl and keeping her in a good and safe running condition.

Without the generous support of these organisation we simply could not continue to operate this spectacular piece of living heritage we all know as the Paddle Steamer Waimarie

Enjoyable experience Was a lovely authentic steamboat ride across the river in Wanganui. Great to see a piece of NZ history and learn a bit about Wanganui. The tour was lovely, and the views were great. You can even enjoy a drink on the boat while you enjoy the view.

A perfect steam cruise. The trip was well organized and planned with a well drilled team. The trip left on time and all staff volunteered information on the operation. The steam engine room is a highlight with the ability to enter the room and watch the operation.an excellent trip.
